Owner
Mrs. Kulbir Kandola qualified in 1993
as a social worker with an MA/CQSW and
worked in various teams in
Nottinghamshire. She has extensive
experience first as a social worker,
then in registering and inspecting
care homes, and contracting adult
services in the independent care sector.
She has owned nursing homes for 11
years. She has wide experience of
working with older people, children,
people with learning disabilities, and
people with mental health problems.
Mrs. Kandola takes a close interest
in the running of the Home to ensure
high standards are maintained.
Managers
Eversleigh is managed by Mrs. Vanessa
Fisher, a State Registered Nurse. She
first joined the Home in 1997 as a
Deputy Manager and was promoted to Home
Manager in 1999.
There are 2 deputy managers, Liz
Pratt and Chris Hammonds who are
State Registered Nurses.
Debbie White is the full-time Office
Manager.
Care team
We have 12 qualified nursing staff,
11 Senior Care assistants and 13 care
assistants. 14 of the care team are
qualified to NVQ Level 2 or above.
A full-time Activities Coordinator
organises leisure and social
entertainment.
Domestic
team
We have 7 catering staff, 4 domestic
staff, 2 laundry staff and a maintenance
person who ensure high standards of
service are provided to our residents at
all times.
Supervision
Staff are well supervised on duty and
we provide good staffing levels to make
sure that the high standards of care are
maintained.
Each member of staff has a regular
formal session with a manager to look at
their performance and to consider ideas
they have. Everyone receives an
annual appraisal with the Nursing
Manager.
Training
We provide regular training to
maintain and improve standards, and to
ensure staff skills and knowledge are
kept up-to-date. New staff complete a
comprehensive induction course.
